Hi, everybody! I hope you had an enjoyable Easter. It's always good to reflect on the goodness of God to us!! That never gets old! Well, here is my word of encouragement today from God's Word:
DAY 6
Yesterday I shared a personal experience that took me from a time of sorrow to a time of joy. One word from God will do that for you!! If you have a Bible near you, please pick it up now and say, “God uses this book to speak to me. His promises are ‘yes’ and I say ‘AMEN!!!” The Bible is the most foundational way that He speaks and it’s right there on our coffee table or desk. We can grab it and find peace at anytime”
When things happen—and they do—our emotions want to spin out of control. They want to pull us down to a place we don’t really want to go. We feel like we have been thrown overboard into a sea of discouragement, disappointment and hopelessness. Well, here’s what God says about these times:
Hebrews 6:18-19New Living Translation (NLT)
So God has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us.
This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary.
“Selah”——stop and think about that!!
