Day 65  Don't Be Afraid; Just Believe

Mark 5:35-36 (New International Version, ©2010)

35 While Jesus was still speaking, some people came from the house of Jairus, the synagogue leader. “Your daughter is dead,” they said. “Why bother the teacher anymore?”
36 Overhearing what they said, Jesus told him, “Don’t be afraid; just believe.”

Jarius had just gotten a bad report--his daughter had died. "Ignoring what they said, Jesus told the synagogue ruler, 'Don't be afraid: just believe."

If you need a healing in your body, choose to think about how Jesus instructed the synagogue ruler.  He's saying the same thing to you today, "Don't be afraid; just believe."

Let's go right to the assignment so we can strengthen our faith today!

Today's Assignment:

1.  Read the following accounts of how Jesus healed the people.
(Notice that we are still in the book of Mark.  Have your    highlighter ready and put a box around each healing account.)

     Mark 7: 31-37

     Mark 8: 22-26

     Mark 10: 46-52

     Mark 5: 21-24, 35-43

2.  Note that Jesus healed in many different ways.  It was not because He felt like doing it a certain way.  He carried out the healing a certain way each time because everything was very strategic in Jesus' life.

Read John 5: 19  Jesus said what He heard His Father saying and He did what He saw His Father doing. Perhaps He is demonstrating to us that there are many ways to receive healing.

Prayer:
Father, help me to believe that You still desire to heal today.  Speak to my heart personally so that I know that it is You speaking personally to me.  I choose to believe You so that I can be a walking/talking demonstration of Your goodness and Your greatness in the earth.  Thank You, Father.  Amen.
