As I am writing this, Dave and I have a major decision to make. We prayed our Proverbs 16:3 prayer and said, "We are putting this on Your drawing board, God."
[NOTE: If you want a simple explanation of Proverbs 16:3, click on March 16th in the Archives.]
This morning we rolled our works (our plans) upon the Lord and asking Him to cause us to think like He thinks concerning this decision. We think we have an idea but we are not 100% sure that it is the right thing to do.
We have found that if we put something on "God's Drawing Board," we can move ahead on it very slowly to see how things are going. If we run into roadblocks, we don't ram them down but instead we turn around and go back to the drawing board. A wrong decision could make our lives very stressful and we certainly do not want that. I'll let you know how it turns out. This afternoon we are going to move ahead on it very slowly.
For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you,
says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace
and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.
Jeremiah 29:11 (AMPC)
For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship),
recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which
God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which
He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them
[living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].
Ephesians 2:10 (AMPC)
“Peace” is a good thing! “Living the good life that God prearranged for us to live” is a wonderful thing!! Reader, I just want to say God bless your day!!

Day 7
ReplyDeleteWe moved ahead slowly and saw that the door had closed. It was natural and without event. We had agreed ahead of time that if it closed, we would both be sure it was God. It closed and we are at peace. God knows better than we do and we trust Him. Proverbs 3: 5-6 says it best.
I have finished documenting my account of the "Seven Day Challenge." If you would like to know what that is all about you can click on my March 16th blog in the Archives. Please notice that it took me 18 days to do the "Seven Day Challenge." It's important not to put pressure on yourself to perform. The most important thing is to keep going until the "Challenge" is completed. Hopefully, after that, you will realize just how important it is and you will want to make praying the Proverbs 16:3 prayer a priority every day of your life. Dave and I can tell you that it's the most important thing that we have learned in our lives. It's wonderful to "do life" with God every single day!!
