Day 127   He Heals All Your Diseases
Psalm 103:2-5 (New International Version)

2 Praise the LORD, my soul,
and forget not all his benefits—
3 who forgives all your sins
   and heals all your diseases,
4 who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion,
5 who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

God is asking us not to forget His benefits.  The Bible says that He did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all—how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things.  (Romans 8: 32 NIV)  Whew!  That is a mouthful from God!!  Beyond saving us from hell, He forgives our sins and heals all our diseases!!  Those are the benefits that go beyond the free gift of salvation!
Jesus was pierced for our transgressions (sins), He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds we are healed.   (Isaiah 53:5 NIV)  What an exchange that is!!   We give Him our sins and iniquities and He gives us His peace.  He takes a whipping and we are made whole.  Talk about amazing grace!!
Do we feel healed when we have pain??  Do we feel healed when the doctor gives us a negative report?  Do we feel healed when we can’t move freely?  The Word of God says, because of what Jesus accomplished for us on the cross, “we are healed,” even though we may not feel healed.
So here’s how I look at it.  My circumstances have to change and line up with the truth of God’s Word.  I can rely on how I feel or I can trust what the Word of God says.  The choice is totally mine.
