Day 130 Building An Atmosphere Of Faith
Hebrews 10:23 (New International Version)
Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.
When God gives us a personal promise, He wants us to “partner” with Him. It is true that sometimes He provides healing all on His own, but more often than not, He wants to work with us. In doing so we grow in faith and in our relationship with Him.
Hebrews 3:6 (New International Version)
But Christ is faithful as the Son over God’s house. And we are his house, if indeed we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope in which we glory.
God is saying in this scripture that we must “hold firmly to our confidence” in the Word that He has spoken. The best way to do that is to have your daily “meetings” with God and continue to ask Him to confirm His Word. He will fulfill your every request for wisdom. (James 1:5) He will help you to build an environment of faith around you. In this environment, healing comes forth.
Hebrews 10:35-36 (New International Version)
35 So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded.
36 You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what He has promised.
The way to persevere through pain, through fatigue, through irritating symptoms is to keep your eyes on what God has spoken to your heart from His Word. Keeping a journal is so important because you can look back each day on what you learned the day before. You are building faith one day at a time. At a certain point, your healing will be more real than your symptoms.
GPS (Directions)
· Write a prayer in your journal using healing scriptures. You can start with the scriptures in Days 127 through today. Pray the prayer daily.
· If you don’t already have a prayer partner, ask God who it should be. When you know, follow through and call them to set up a regular time of communication. You can use the phone, email, face-to-face meeting or a combination of all three. It will be a rich time for both of you!
Prayer:
Thank God that He is teaching you and that He is faithful to what He has promised.
