Day 50     Enter In With Thanksgiving
Psalm 100:4 (New International Version, ©2010)
4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving
   and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.
One of the things that God is showing me in my “meeting” with Him is that “thanksgiving” should be part of my spiritual foundation.  Sometimes problems and circumstances can be overwhelming, but giving thanks to Him brings everything back into perspective.
On the subject of “thanksgiving” you might be asking yourself:  “ Should I thank Him for my problems or in my problems???”

1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NKJV) says,”in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

God is not the author of sickness, lack, loss, fear, distress, etc., so we should not thank Him for those things because He did not give them to us, but we are to thank Him in the midst of them.

Why?  Because He is:

·         Faithful to us.  (Hebrews 10:23)

·         There for us.  (James 4:8)

·         Made unto us wisdom.  ( I Cor. 1:30)

·         Strengthening us (Philippians 4:13 Amplified Bible)

·         Making us more than conquerors (Romans 8:37)

I could go on and on!!

Today’s Assignment:

1.       Spend some time reading the scriptures above and personally thank Him for all of these things.

2.       Find yourself a simple chorus and hum it (or sing it to yourself) all day long.

If you are in need of one, you can borrow mine:

He Has Made Me Glad (Based on Ps. 100:4)

I will enter His gates with thanksgiving in my heart.

I will enter His courts with praise.

I will say, “This is the day the Lord has made.”

I will rejoice for He has made me glad.

He has made me glad.  He has made me glad.

I will rejoice for He has made me glad.

He has made me glad, He has made me glad.

I will rejoice for He has made me glad.

If you need the tune, you will find it at:

Or go to http://www.youtube.com/ and type in “He Has Made Me Glad”

Warning:  Watching this might set your feet to dancing!!!

Prayer:
Father in all my circumstances, You have made my heart glad.  Only You could do that.  Thank You for Your greatness and Your goodness to me.  I choose to praise You even though I may not feel like it—because You are so wonderful to me. Amen.
