Day 5 I Have A Bright Future
Psalm 31:14-15 (New Living Translation)
14 But I am trusting you, O Lord, saying, “You are my God!”
15 My future is in your hands. Rescue me from those who hunt me down relentlessly.
15 My future is in your hands. Rescue me from those who hunt me down relentlessly.
“My future is in Your hands.” What BIG hands those are!!
When I was little my dad’s hands always seemed so big to me. They were strong and could do many things that my little hands could not.
God’s hands are much bigger than any earthly father’s hands and much, much stronger. (Deuteronomy 3: 24 NIV)
If we give God the things that are such a heavy burden to us, He promises to take care of it for us.
2 Timothy 1:12 (New International Version)
12That is why I am suffering as I am. Yet I am not ashamed, because I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him for that day.
We must be convinced that our Father loves us and that He is well able to take care of anything that concerns us---big or little!
Psalm 138:8 (New King James Version)
8 The LORD will perfect that which concerns me;
Your mercy, O LORD, endures forever;
Do not forsake the works of Your hands.
I am so glad that God is willing to make perfect those things that are not perfect in our lives.
Today’s assignment:
1. Read the following scriptures:
Psalms 37:24
Psalms 63:8
Isaiah 41:10 The Message
I Chronicles 29:12
2. Meditate on the following scripture.
Deuteronomy 3:24 (New International Version)
24 "O Sovereign LORD, you have begun to show to your servant your greatness and your strong hand. For what god is there in heaven or on earth who can do the deeds and mighty works you do?
3. What is it in your life that you cannot handle yourself?
4. What is it that you need help with? Make a list.
5. What is spinning out of control and you need a big hand to reach in and bring stability?
6. What do you need God to lift you up out of with His strong and powerful hands?
Prayer:
Father, it feels so good to come to You with all the things that are a burden to me. Thank You for taking them from me with your big hands. And thank You for working in my circumstances to fix what is wrong, strengthen what is weak, and make clear what I cannot see. Father, I believe that You taking my circumstances and working in them until they become my testimony of Your love for me and for Your greatness toward me. Amen.
